The PTI-led Punjab government has started talks with the opposition in provincial assembly for formation of public accounts committees and standing committees of the Punjab Assembly. Currently, two special committees in the Punjab Assembly are working to make recommendations for different laws before placing the draft bills before the House.

Sources claimed on Friday that the provincial government has shown inclination to give the office of Public Accounts Committee-I (PAC-I) to the Opposition Leader in the Punjab assembly Hamza Shahbaz while it intends to get the slot of PAC-II for the ruling party.
